I have an old Allen Bradley PLC 2. Is there any software I could get to practice programing the unit with. To make it actually do something. Not just to run a simulator on the computer but to actually program the unit. Thanks
The PLC 2 is an older processor that Allen Bradley no longer supports. However there is this web site that offers PLC 2 software that is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP. The web site is PLC2software.com. Communication via serial port and USB port. It looks like the cost is $495.50.
The PLC2Software by Master Group is good. It comes with the required comm cable for the PLC2. I bought it to deal with a problem on a 25 yr old machine and it was worth it!
Are you looking to learn how to program PLCs or are you actually dealing with an old PLC2 that you have to make an old machine work again?
