Hello,
What's the "Control Data File R6:0" all about?
When programming I enter the 'data type' because I'm suppose to; (because the instruction won't work without it); but who uses it and why.
Do you usually use the bits associated with this data file(R6:0)? And if so when and where?
Thank you-
Klm-
Klm,
the control data files are used with specific instructions that require them. You might want to check out the videos on the file instructions such as the FIFO instructions (FFL, FFU) or the sequencer instructions (SQO). Those instructions require the use of the control data type. In summary, the data registers associated with the control data file are used by the instructions to keep track of done, enable and other status information.
