Gotcha - RSLogix 5000 'Classic' Module Profile that could not be loaded
Modified By Brian on 12/31/2008 7:15:53 AM)
Recently, while programming an Allen-Bradley Controllogix processor using the RSLogix 5000 software I started receiving the error “Module profile could not be loaded”. I would receive this error when trying to create a new program or add a module to an existing program. When I looked into it I found that the registry cleaner program included with the McAfee SecurityCenter software would remove all classic module profiles from the registry. To fix the problem I had to disable the registry cleaner when using McAfee QuickClean program. I then had to completely uninstall RSLogix 5000, delete the directory “C:\Program Files\Rockwell Software\RSLogix 5000\” and reinstall RSLogix 5000. Refer to Tech Note 37828 on the Rockwell Software Knowledgebase.

Re: Gotcha - RSLogix 5000 'Classic' Module Profile that could not be loaded

Update:  I had a similar problem with Mcafee registry cleaner.  I was able to solve my problem by upgrading my package of RSLogix5000 from 16 to 17.
