Support for Inductive Automation SCADA Added!
Modified By Admin on 5/12/2009 7:50:26 AM)

Inductive Automation is a fairly new SCADA company when compared with the Rockwell and Wonderware systems; however, they have managed to impress us with their unique way of implementing their software and the cost effectiveness of their product.  Their system has been developed in JAVA to enable built in internet or intranet application distribution without all the customary "client" application costs.  You set up a server application and are able to display the SCADA, and develop the SCADA from within standard browsers connected to the server.  Other SCADA systems offer the connectivity via a browser that could be considered similar, but all of the systems I have seen require purchasing a "client" license for the remote machines.  Their system uses a SQL capable database as its core.  This can be SQL Server or even an open system such as MySQL.  If you have looked into the pricing of other SCADA systems you will see how their system can be very cost effective for multiple node installations.

Understand that including this in our training is unusual as we are limited in the number of systems that we can effectively master and maintain competence.  We have evaluated this package and have determined that the benefits are excellent.

You can check out their product more here:  www.inductiveautomation.com
