I hope you have been enjoying the PLCMentor website! I would like to ask you for some feedback about our site and our plans for Stage 3 startup. First, please feel free to reply back to this email or if you would rather, leave a comment on our forum here.
I need your feedback on two important subjects. First I am interested in your impressions of the PLCMentor site. I would like to know what you like, what you would like to see added, or what you would like to see changed.
Second, I need to know if you are interested in our Stage 3 training. Adding this stage will require scheduling classes and investing in the technology to hold the classes. I will not add this stage if there is not sufficient interest from our members. My current plan is to begin by having the classes twice a week as question and answer sessions. They will last for up to an hour depending on the needs of the class. The format will allow for discussion from the class participants on questions asked or programming issues. I will be leading the classes personally and will work with students on anything concerning automation that is within my expertise. Generally if we have videos on the website, then I will be able to give educated answers on the subject. This includes most Rockwell Automation products, Wonderware, GE (limited), VFD’s and various HMI products. We can also discuss field devices and their connections to control systems, troubleshooting, and other subjects as they come up in the class. There may be subjects that I will need to put off answering until the next class, but subjects that are outside my realm of knowledge may be within that of our other engineers. If you are interested specifically in a particular subject then reply to this email and I will let you know if it is a subject that can be covered proficiently.
Suggested class schedule: Tuesdays, 10AM EST; Thursdays, 4:45PM EST
The times have been selected to (hopefully) allow those in various time zones to be able to participate in at least one class a week. If you are interested in the training, but cannot make those times, please feel free to reply back with times that work better for you. If enough people agree then we might change the class times to suit or add additional classes if the participation allows. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to seeing you in our training online!
