Hi there,

This SCADA provides data acquisition, control, data storage, data analysis and HMI in one package. Good choice!

Hey,

Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) is a system of software and hardware elements that allows industrial organizations to:

  1. Control industrial processes locally or at remote locations.
  2. Monitor, gather, and process real-time data
  3. Directly interact with devices such as sensors, valves, pumps, motors, and more through human-machine interface (HMI) software
  4. Record events into a log file

 Hi plcsuperstar,

That's one of the reasons why I'm still using Ecava's Intergraxor SCADA. It has everything built in together and helps simplify things when configuration between HMI, trending, and data logging. Besides, it uses little storage and resource unlike conventional SCADA which will hog your laptop resource.

This is an old alert, but I would make sure it has been taken care of before purchasing.

There are lots of SCADA packages available; however I would point out that testing them is the only way to really understand their strengths and weaknesses.  All of them demo well!  I would highly suggest including Inductive Automation's Ignition in the list of those to examine.
